Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s Medical Director of Cardiology, Dr. Michael Hayes, recently announced that cardiology services are now available four days a week. “This is very advantageous to both our patients and the physicians we collaborate with on behalf of our patients,” stated Hayes.
Dr. Mark Heitzman, Dr. Gregory MacDonald and Hayes have a long-standing relationship with the NVRH community. Ninety-five percent of cardiac diagnostic testing is performed at NVRH; inpatient and outpatient consults, electrocardiograms, 24 hour holter monitoring, echocardiograms and rest and exercise heart imaging services. “There is virtually no change in anything, except that we are here more often,” explained Hayes.
NVRH’s Chief Financial Officer, Bob Hersey, welcomes the increased days for the cardiologists. “This is a seamless change and one that will benefit our patients and physicians. We are grateful to Drs. Heitzman, MacDonald and Hayes for continuing their long-standing commitment to NVRH and our community.” For further questions, please contact the Cardiology office at 748-7382.
