Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Justin Mowchun recently joined the medical staff as a full-time neurologist.
Mowchun most recently finished a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He will continue to be a clinical instructor for the Department of Neurology at Dartmouth.
Mowchun received his BA in 1998 from the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Canada. He received his MD in 2003 from Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. He has spent the last four years at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, as a resident, chief resident and clinical instructor.
Mowchun has interests in general neurology, neuromuscular medicine/EMG and medical education. He is a co-author of the recently published book, Peripheral Nerve and Muscle Disease.
"I am looking forward to getting to know the NVRH community and learning about the Northeast Kingdom and all that it has to offer," said Mowchun. "Dr. Mowchun is a real addition to the medical staff. He comes to us with tremendous competencies to help meet the needs of the community," said Robert Hersey, Chief Financial Officer at NVRH.
Mowchun’s wife, Carrie Kruck, is a research associate in the Brain Imaging Laboratory at Dartmouth. She received her masters degree in clinical psychology while in Australia.
