Diagnostic Imaging

The Diagnostic Imaging Department utilizes a variety of machines and techniques to create images of the body.   These images are used to diagnose and treat a multitude of medical conditions.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides outpatient, inpatient and emergency services to patients of every age.   Our highly trained, licensed and board certified technologists deliver quality diagnostic images using the lowest radiation exposure possible.  Many of our multi-modalilty technologists also hold advanced specialty board certifications through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS).

PACS-Picture Archiving and Communication System is a digital solution for capturing, storing, distributing and displaying imaging studies.  NVRH's  PACS system  improves patient care by allowing health care providers access to their patient's current and prior imaging studies as soon as their exam is completed.

At  NVRH, the mission of our PACS system is to provide timely access to high quality diagnostic images to the patient's physician at any time and any location, within the boundaries of what is feasible and necessary.

All NVRH technologists have made a pledge to "Image Gently".
Image Gently is an international movement which is increasing awareness for the opportunities to lower radiation dose when imaging children and young adults.

All NVRH Diagnostic Imaging services are provided under the direction of board certified radiologists.

The Imaging department operates 24 hours a day,  7 days a week.

Routine outpatient exams are performed by appointment with a physicians order Monday-Friday   8am - 4pm by calling  748-7567.

Free parking is provided for all patients and visitors.
