Respiratory Care

What Is Respiratory Care?                             

Respiratory Care is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions that involve the Cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) system. Licensed Respiratory Care Professionals work to improve your breathing through diagnosis, treatment and education. We treat conditions such as COPD, asthma and bronchitis.

Hours of Operation

We have moved!  We are now located in the new main hallway.  Please enter through the Patient Registration/ER entrance and follow the new hallway "past the curve", you will see us on the right.

The Respiratory Care staff is available for outpatient testing Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm, and are available for inpatient care 24/7. We can be reached at 802-748-7511. To schedule an appointment, please call 802-748-7382.

     *Arterial Blood Gas analysis

     *Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure ventilation

     *Overnight pulse oximetry ( blood oxygen levels)
     *Assessments for home oxygen and respiratory equipment
     *EKG's

     *Pulmonary rehabilitation
     *Patient and family education about pulmonary diseases and treatment

All respiratory testing/procedures require an order from your physician. Also, each test or procedure may require different preparation. Your physician or Respiratory Care Practitioner will give you instructions for testing.
